Your privacy

How information is handled by this website and the current Jelly Scoot test build.

Last updated 8 October 2026

Current status: Jelly Scoot is in development and has no public App Store release. You can play without an account and save progress on your iPhone. Supported developer test builds offer optional account connection and cloud backup. Advertising is not activated. Some older or isolated test builds do not include online features.

Who to contact

Jelly Scoot is a game by Klikkit. For questions about your information or to make a privacy request, email contact@klikkit.co.uk.

When you visit this website

This site has no sign-up form, advertising pixels, analytics scripts or embedded social-media widgets. Fonts and game artwork are served from this site. It does not use cookies or browser storage for advertising or analytics.

Our website hosting provider, Vercel, processes technical request information needed to deliver and protect the site. This can include an IP address, the page requested, browser information, time and security logs. We use this processing for our legitimate interests in operating a reliable, secure website and preventing abuse.

When you contact us

If you email support, we receive your email address, your message and any information or attachments you choose to send. We use these to answer your request, investigate issues and maintain a record of the conversation. Our basis is our legitimate interest in providing support and resolving issues; where necessary, we also use information to provide a service you have requested or meet legal obligations.

Microsoft 365, our email provider, handles the message as part of delivering and storing email. Sending an email is optional, but we need a reply address and enough information about the issue to help you. We don’t add support contacts to a marketing list.

Information on your iPhone

The game stores puzzle progress, lives, coins, boosters, reward history and settings in the app’s local storage. A player name and selected avatar are also stored locally. Your local progress is not uploaded to Jelly Scoot’s cloud save service unless you choose to enable cloud backup.

Local diagnostics are optional and off until you turn them on. They record a limited set of game events on your device, such as a level starting or finishing, for troubleshooting. They are not uploaded. The app limits the log to 128 events and removes entries older than 14 days when it maintains the log. Turning diagnostics off clears the log.

Life reminders use iOS notification permission. Scheduling happens on your device; the current reminder feature does not register you for a remote push-notification service. You can turn reminders off in the game or in iPhone Settings.

Your iPhone or Apple account may back up app data according to your own device settings. Apple controls that backup service.

Apple purchases

When in-app purchases are made available, Apple processes payment through the App Store. The game receives product details and verified transaction information so it can provide purchased items, avoid duplicate delivery and check eligible permanent benefits. We do not receive your full payment-card details. Apple handles its account, payment and refund records under Apple’s privacy policy.

Some development builds use simulated purchases that do not make real charges. A shop item appearing in a test build does not mean that real-money purchases are available.

Optional account connection and cloud backup

In supported developer test builds, you can choose Settings → Account → Connect cloud backup to sign in through Unity Player Accounts. Unity handles sign-in and gives the game an authenticated player identifier. We do not receive your Unity password. Connecting lets the game check for an existing Jelly Scoot profile and cloud save; you choose whether to enable backup of this device’s progress.

When backup is enabled, Jelly Scoot sends the saved game to our service so it can be recovered on a connected device. The save includes puzzle and campaign progress, the current board, lives, coins, boosters, settings, game rewards and transaction/reward identifiers used to prevent duplicate delivery. The service also keeps your chosen player name, avatar colour and frame, cosmetic ownership, save version and update time, and records needed to recognize repeated save requests. Do not use sensitive personal information as your player name.

We use this information to provide the optional account and backup service you request. We also use account identifiers and limited request records for our legitimate interests in protecting saves, preventing abuse and avoiding duplicate changes. Cloud backup is not required for offline play. Disconnecting stops this device’s cloud connection but does not delete an existing cloud copy.

Jelly Scoot’s cloud service is hosted by Railway in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Connections use HTTPS and the hosting provider encrypts its storage. The service must be able to read saves to validate and restore them; this is not end-to-end encrypted storage that only the player can read. Unity provides identity services separately. Railway and Unity may process technical request and security information, such as IP addresses, device or browser information and request times, as part of operating their services.

Cloud retention and deletion

We keep your cloud save and profile until you delete your cloud game data or the account is otherwise removed. There is currently no automatic expiry for inactive cloud saves.

Choose Settings → Account → Delete cloud game data and confirm to remove the active Jelly Scoot cloud save, profile, cosmetic ownership and save-operation records. The game then requests removal of its game-specific Unity Authentication player record. This does not delete your separate Unity Player Account or your current device’s progress. If deletion is interrupted, return to the app and retry so the remaining step can finish.

After service deletion, we keep a small deletion record containing a hash derived from the account identifier and the deletion time. This prevents an old request from recreating deleted game data. It does not contain your player name, game progress or saved board. We currently retain this record without an automatic expiry, for our legitimate interest in keeping deleted game records from being restored by stale requests. You can contact us about this record or object to this processing.

The current test service uses a persistent database volume. We have not configured independent backups of this cloud database. A cloud save gives you an additional copy of device progress, but it does not guarantee recovery after a service failure. Cloud deletion removes the active game records; it does not delete separate device backups managed by Apple or records that providers keep for their own service and security purposes. We will update this notice when independent database backups are introduced.

Advertising being considered

Ads are not activated in the current build. Before activation, this notice will explain the data, advertising partners and available privacy choices. We will not treat this development notice as your consent to advertising or tracking.

How long information is kept

Device progress stays in the app’s storage until it is replaced or removed. Removing the app normally removes that local copy; device backups are managed separately through Apple. Local diagnostics follow the limits described above.

For support correspondence, we consider whether an issue is still open, whether the record is needed for a related follow-up or dispute, and any applicable legal obligations. Hosting providers maintain technical logs according to their service settings and security needs. You can contact us to ask about information connected to a particular request.

Service providers and overseas processing

Website hosting, game hosting, identity, email and Apple services may process information outside the UK. The game database’s EU location does not mean every identity, support, infrastructure or security operation takes place only in the EU. Provider privacy information explains their processing and applicable safeguards: Vercel, Railway, Unity, Microsoft and Apple. Contact us if you need details about a transfer connected to your use of Jelly Scoot.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a portable copy of your personal information. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent. These rights can have legal exceptions.

Email contact@klikkit.co.uk to make a request. We may need proportionate information to confirm it relates to you; please don’t send passwords or identity documents unless we explain why a specific check is necessary. See also Delete game data.

You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, or your local data-protection authority. You don’t have to contact us first.

Children and updates

Jelly Scoot is being developed for a general audience. This website has no player registration form. If you are concerned that a child has shared personal information with us, contact us so we can review and address it.

Changes to this notice will appear here with an updated date. Material changes to account or advertising features will be explained before those features are enabled.
